Care Instructions – To Extend the Life of Your Storm Kitchen
- Keep the plastic protector that comes with the non-stick frying pan, or make your own, such as from a piece of waxed cloth.
- Use only plastic or wooden utensils in the containers, as metal and other hard utensils can damage them.
- Hand wash all parts of the Storm Kitchen. Do not wash in the dishwasher. Aluminum cannot withstand dishwashing detergent and the surface may be damaged.
- Do not store or leave food in the dishes; clean them as soon as possible.
- Always dry the kitchen thoroughly after cleaning before packing it away.
- Moisture and food residues can cause corrosion, discoloration, and holes in the aluminum.
- Do not place empty containers on the stove, as they could melt.
- Heat-resistant plastic details, such as the handle of the coffee pot, may melt with excessive heat or direct contact with fire.
- Never leave your kitchen unattended and pay attention to the wind direction, as the air holes in the lower windscreen should face the wind.
- Do not pack the spirit burner with fuel inside the kitchen during transport, as it may leak.
- Never refill the burner with alcohol until it is completely extinguished and cooled, and use a fuel bottle with a safety cap.
- Store the burner in plastic or similar to avoid corrosion damage to the cookware.
